Prime Minister and senior BJP leader Narendra Modi has emphasised that he is working 24 by 7 with a vision to make India a developed nation by 2047. Addressing a public rally at Bagalkote in Karnataka yesterday, he said that BJP works for the development and Congress works for its vote bank.
Highlighting the development projects accomplished in the last 10 years, Mr Modi said that Vijayapura is getting new airport, Bagalkote railway station is upgraded under Amruth yojana, the traditional ILKAL saree is promoted under one product one district programme, the world heritage sites of Badami, Aihole and Patadkal are linked with wider roads.
He added that at the national level 18000 villages without electricity were
provided power lines, the tap water connection was increased from three crore to 11 crore under Jal Jeevan mission, border villages were provided infrastructure, four crore houses were distributed under PM Awas, 55 crore bank accounts were opened and gas connections were provided under Ujwala yojana. Mr Modi said, it is a naya Bharat that strikes the enemy in its territory as was done in Balakot.
Mr. Modi accused Congress Government in Karnataka of doing appeasement politics. He said, the Congress government has changed the image of Bengaluru from IT hub to Tanker hub due to water woes. Mr. Modi called upon people to be careful about fake social media posts spreading rumours against BJP.
