In Uttar Pradesh, a total of 136 nominations have been filed for the second phase of Lok Sabha polls. Eight constituencies will go to the polls on 18th April. 97 nominations were filed yesterday for the second phase. Chief election officer of the state M. Venkateshwarlu told media person in Lucknow that 49 nominations out of 146 filed for first phase were found rejected during scrutiny.
Now only 97 nominations are left for this phase. Meanwhile Samajwadi Party has announced 3 more candidates for the upcoming elections in the state. Devendra yadav will be candidate for
Etah constituency while Hemraj Verma will be candidate from Pilibhit.
Anand Sen Yadav, son of late senior SP leader Mitrasen Yadav will be party nominee from Faizabad Lok Sabha constituency. Congress general secretary and in-charge of eastern UP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will start her 3 day campaign from today.
After reaching Lucknow today she will first go to Jagdishpur and Musaphirkhana areas of Amethi constituency. Tomorrow she will spend a day will party workers in Raibareli.
