Congress will never support Citizenship Amendment Bill: Rahul Gandhi

Congress President Rahul Gandhi has reiterated the party's promise to provide 72 thousand rupees per year to the 20 percent of poorest families of the country

Addressing a rally at Kaliabor constituency in Assam, Mr. Gandhi said, a total of 3 lakh 60 thousand rupees will be given to poor families through bank



accounts in 5 years, if his party comes to the power.

He said, the Congress will never support the Citizenship Amendment Bill because it is against the interest of the people of Assam. Mr. Gandhi also guaranteed minimum wages to the tea garden workers of the state.
