Senior BJP leader and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said, the NDA government has taken several major decisions for people during the last 5 years and stands by the country like a Chowkidar.
He asked people to decide whether they support a Chowkidar or go with leaders who work for themselves.
Mr. Modi was addressing an election rally at Bhoothpur in Nagar- Kurnool Lok Sabha Constituency in Telangana on Friday afternoon.
Mr Modi said the common man is able to live fearlessly during the past 5 years as the NDA government dealt with terrorism with an iron fist.
Later in the day, speaking at a public meeting at Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh, the Prime Minister launched a blistering attack on Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for accusing the Centre of neglecting the state. Mr. Modi listed various initiatives taken by his government for the State.
Earlier, addressing a rally at Jeypore in Koraput district of Odisha this morning, Mr Modi announced five points of development. He said, educational facilities for students, medicines for patients, employment for youth, irrigation for farmers and JanSunani for the common man is the agenda for the development of the BJP.
He said, the progress of Odisha and the country
will speed-up when both the governments at the Centre and the state are from the same party.
Launching the election campaign at Alipurduar in North Bengal this afternoon, BJP President Amit Shah asserted that the issue of infiltration will be dealt with firmly if his party comes to power at the Centre again.
Mr. Shah criticized the ruling Trinamool Congress for doing vote bank politics in West Bengal on the infiltration issue.
Speaking at a public meeting in Yamunanagar district in Haryana, Congress President Rahul Gandhi criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying he protects the rich while the Congress party bats for the poor, the weaker sections and the farmers. He claimed that unlike the BJP, Congress keeps its promises.
Congress General Secretary and in-charge of eastern Uttar Pradesh Priyanka Gandhi Vadra criticised the BJP, saying Prime Minister Narendra Modi is only doing propaganda about his work. Speaking at various road shows in Faizabad, she said, the NDA government has done nothing in last five years.
Rashtriya Lokdal Leader Jayant Chaudhry also addressed a rally in Meerut in favour of the SP-BSP-RLD alliance candidate Haji Yaqoob Quraishi.
