In connection with the ongoing Assembly Elections in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Kashmir today and is scheduled to address an election rally there. He will address an election rally at Srinagar in the morning and at Katra, the Base Camp of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine in the afternoon.
Earlier, the Prime Minister addressed a rally in Doda where he highlighted the achievements of his government
and its efforts to bring development in Jammu and Kashmir during the last several years. The Assembly Elections for the 90 Assembly Constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir are being held after a long gap of ten years, in three phases out of which the elections in the first phase for 24 Assembly Constituencies in the Union Territory were successfully held yesterday with a remarkable voter turnout of over 61 percent.
