Campaigning has further intensified for assembly elections in Maharashtra. Top leaders of various political parties are criss crossing the state to woo the voters in favour of their party candidates.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address three rallies at Akola in Vidarbha region, Partur in Jalna district of Marathwada region and at Kharghar in Mumbai today. This public rally in Kharghar would be Prime Minister’s third public rally in state. Besides Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Revenue Minister Chandrakant Patil, several other top party leaders would be attending the rally.
The Nationalist Congress
Party President Sharad Pawar too would be holding a public rally in Navi Mumbai this evening. While Maharasthra Navnirman Sena President Raj Thackeray is on a one-day visit to Nashik, actor and Congress Party leader Shatrughan Sinha would be holding rallies in Sangli, Satara, Karad and Nanded.
Rajasthan Deputy chief Minister Sachin Pilot would be addressing rallies at Pune and Mumbai today. Meanwhile, the District Collector of Mumbai has declared a public holiday on polling day i.e. October 21. All public and private offices will remain close so that people are able to cast their vote.
