Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi likely to resign today

Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi may soon meet Punjab Governor Governor Banwarilal Purohit and submit his resignation, sources have told. CM Channi arrived at his official residence in Chandigarh on Thursday

morning.

The development comes even as counting of votes is underway in Punjab. Early trends show Charanjit Singh Channi trailing from both the constituencies he contested from- Chamkaur Sahib and Bhadaur.
