Defence Minister and senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh yesterday slammed the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and its leaders, stating that since the JMM government came to power, corruption has increased, hampering the development of the state.
Addressing an election rally in Bokaro for party candidate Dhullu Mahto, Mr. Singh criticized the former Chief Minister Hemant Soren without naming him for the recovery of a huge stash of cash found at the residence of his associate. He alleged that this can never happen without the chief minister’s involvement.
He said the BJP has given three Chief Ministers to Jharkhand in the form of Raghubar Das, Babulal Marandi and Arjun Munda and nobody can point fingers towards them for corruption allegations. He said, if someone from the party
is found in the graft case he will have no place in the party and will be put behind bars. He added that during the Congress regime corrupts were given refuge.
He said, former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee made Jharkhand a separate state for its overall development. He said during the last 10 years, banks in the country are in profit to the tune of three lakh crore rupees.
He added that if any minister from the BJP’s government is found in a graft case he/she will face immediate expulsion from the party.
He appealed to people to make Dhullu Mahto victorious by a huge margin. Mahto is a sitting MLA of the BJP from the Bagmara legislative assembly seat that comes under the Dhanbad district.
