Voting Begins For 53 Seats in Fourth Phase of UP elections 2017

Voting in 53 assembly constituencies in the fourth phase of Uttar Pradesh elections begins 

In all, 1.84 crore voters, including 1,034 voters from the third gender, will use their franchise 

In the 2012 assembly polls, the Congress had managed to wrest only six seats in these



constituencies. 

Rae Bareli, the parliamentary constituency of Congress chief Sonia Gandhi, is voting in the fourth phase, though she did not campaign in these elections 

There are a total of 680 candidates in the fray in the fourth phase, of which 61 are women
