Campaigning for the fourth phase of Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls ends this evening. 53 constituencies, spread over 12 districts, including the Bundelkhand region, will go to polls in this phase on Thursday. The districts include Raebareilly, Allahabad, Pratapgarh, Kaushambi, Jhansi, Chitrakoot and Fatehpur. 
A total of 630 candidates, including 50 women, are in the fray. BJP President Amit Shah, Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav and Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi will conduct road shows in Allahabad today.Meanwhile, the Election Commission has removed SP crime Allahabad and 19 SHO in different districts including Jaunpur, Banda, Mahoba, Jhansi, Jalaun and Lalitpur. The commission took the decision after getting complaints against them. 
In another development, BJP has filed complaints against Samajwadi party leaders Akhilesh Yadav, Ram Gopal Yadav, Akshaya Pratap Yadav and Arvind Yadav



for allegedly violating the model code of conduct, intimidating voters and attempting to temper EVMs. They have sought action against them.
Yesterday top leaders of various political parties, including Prime Minister and BJP leader Narendra Modi, ruling Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi and BSP Chief Mayawati, addressed a number of rallies to woo the voters.
In Jalaun and Phulpur, Mr Modi sharply criticised Samajwadi Party and BSP holding them responsible for the backwardness of the state, especially the Bundelkhand region.CM Akhilesh Yadav underlined the schemes initiated by his government and criticised the Centre for demonetisation. BSP supremo Mayawati also targeted the central government on demonetisation. A number of rallies are also scheduled for today. 40 seats of the 403-member UP Assembly will go to polls in this phase on the 8th of next month.
