Bahujan Samj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati alleged on Thursday that the Modi government wanted to abolish the present reservation system by following the ideology of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).Mayawati said that the BJP was creating an atmosphere of fear by intermittently invoking issues like love-jehad, goraksha, triple talaq and common civil code.
Addressing a rally in Bhatgadi in Bulundshahr, the former CM said that law and order situation in UP was shameful. “Loot, murder, rape and encroachments had peaked during this regime. The SP wants to take credit of policies of the former BSP government,” she charged.
Lashing out the SP-Congress alliance, the BSP chief during her address in Hathras, said that the Congress ruled the state for 37 years and the country for 54 years but did not do anything for the minority and Dalits and was eventually voted out by the public due to its wrong policies.
Urging the minorities to vote of the BSP, Mayawati claimed that voting for the SP-Congress alliance would be like supporting the BJP. About large scale exodus, Mayawati targeted Congress saying that maximum incidents occurred during the Congress and SP tenures.
On Friday, Mayawati will address meetings in Muzaffarnagar and Etah districts while on Saturday, she will address rallies in Bareilly and Ferozabad.
