ISSF World Cup 2017: Olympians and ace shooters Jitu Rai and Heena Sidhu successfully bag gold

Ace shooters and Olympians, Jitu Rai and Heena Sidhu have successfully bagged gold in the mixed team event at ISSF Shooting World Cup 2017.

Jitu Rai who recently participated in the Rio Olympics 2016, is the only shooter to clinch gold at the 2014 Asian Olympic Games at Incheon and has several World Cup medals to his credit.

On bagging the gold at ISSF World Cup Jitu during an exclusive chat with NewsX



said, “I’m honoured to have won this medal. The best moment was to see the Indian flag fluttering high in the air. This platform has given me a good experience and has undoubtedly marked the perfect beginning”.

On his partnership with Heena Sidhu, Jitu added, “Heena is a very good player and has won many medals too. For the first time we have played in a mixed event but this turned out to be a perfect match”.
