Treesa-Gayatri advance to round of 16 at Malaysia Super 1000

In Badminton, India’s women’s doubles duo Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand advanced to the round of 16 at the Malaysia Super 1000 tournament in Kuala Lumpur, defeating Thailand’s Ornnicha Jongsathapornparn and Sukitta Suwachai 21-10, 21-10 in straight games. The sixth-seeded Indian pair secured a dominant 21-10, 21-10 victory in just 30 minutes.

Sen, Priyanshu Rajawat and Prannoy H S will compete in the round of 32 later today, while Malvika Bansod, Aakarshi Kashyap and Anupama Upadhyaya will take charge in Women’s Singles.

In Men’s Doubles, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty will play against Ming Che Lu and Tang Kai Wei of Chinese Taipei in the round of 32.
