The excitement at the prestigious sporting event the 37th National Games in Goa is exponentially increasing with every passing day. The competitions of sports like Women's Rugby, Football, Boxing Volleyball, and many others showcase a high spirit of sportsmanship.
Exceptional performance was given by Meenakshi of Haryana. She achieved 2 Gold in the 10km Scratch race and 3km individual pursuit (women) categories.
In a star-studded race 200m for women, Srabani Nanda from Odisha secured Gold. Pradeep Senthil Kumar from Tamil Nadu secured the Gold in 800m for Men. Chanda Kumari from Delhi won the Gold in 800m for women's 37th National Games.
In Aquatics
800m freestyle men Khushagra Rawat of Delhi Gold medal. While in aquatics 100m backstroke women Palak Joshi from Maharashtra won Gold medal. In the Cycling Track Race, 4 KM Team Pursuit (Men), Services won gold medal and Haryana won the silver medal. The bronze medal went to Punjab.
Maharashtra has continued its dominance in National Games from its beginning and retained its first position. Till now Maharashtra has bagged 164 medals and 60 gold. Services Sport Control Board also continued its second position in medal tally with a total of 74 medals and 43 Gold medals. While Haryana stood at third position with a total of 89 medals and 32 gold medals.
