AFI postpones Federation Cup National Senior Championships

The Athletics Federation of India (AFI) yesterday officially announced the postponement of the Federation Cup National Senior Championships to be held next month in view of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Federation Cup, which was to serve as a qualifying event of the Tokyo Olympics, was scheduled to be held from 10th to 13th of next month in



Patiala.

AFI President Adille Sumariwalla said, looking at the present situation in the country and around the world, hosting any competition is difficult. Health and safety of everyone comes first and the competitions can be resumed once things start getting better.
