Argentina to face Spain in Men's Hockey World Cup at Bhubaneswar today

In Men's Hockey World Cup, two matches are scheduled today. In Pool- A encounter, Argentina will face Spain at 5 PM while New Zealand will meet France at 7 PM at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.

In the World Cup, Argentina and Spain have met seven times so far with Argentina winning two, Spain three and two draws. 

Since 2013, the two teams have met eight times, out of which Argentina won six while only two went in favour of Spain.

twice since 2013, New Zealand winning one while one was the tie. 

The two teams haven't faced each other in the World Cup yet.

 

Earlier, India started the campaign with a dominating 5-0 win against South Africa last evening. Olympic silver medalist Belgium also started its campaign on a positive note defeating Canada 2-1 in the tournament opener.  Hosts India will next face Belgium on the 2nd of next month while Canada will be up against South Africa.
