Australian Open: Aryna Sabalenka to face Madison Keys in Women’s Singles final

World No. 1 and defending champion Aryna Sabalenka will face 19th seed Madison Keys of United States in the Women’s Singles final of Australian Open Tennis at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne on Saturday. Belarusian Sabalenka is aiming to become the first woman since 1999 to win three consecutive Australian Open titles.

     

In Men’s Doubles final today, Britain’s Henry Patten and Harri Heliovaara of Finland will face third seeds Italian pair of Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori.

       

In Men’s Singles title clash, defending champion and top seed Jannik Sinner of Italy will take on second seed German Alexander Zverev tomorrow. Sinner moved into his second Australian Open final with a commanding 7-6, 6-2, 6-2 victory



over the 21st seed Ben Shelton of United States. Zverev advanced to the final after seventh seed and 10-time Australian Open champion Novak Djokovic of Serbia retired due to an injury during their semifinal match on Friday.

      

In the Women’s Doubles final, third seed pair of Latvia’s Jeļena Ostapenko and Hsieh Su-wei of Taiwan will take on top seeded duo Taylor Townsend of US and Czech player Kateřina Siniaková on Sunday.

     

Meanwhile, home favourite pair Olivia Gadecki and John Peers clinched the Mixed Doubles title. The Australian duo defeated compatriots Kimberly Birrell and John-Patrick Smith 3-6, 6-4, 10-6 in the final at Melbourne Park on Friday.
