Bangabandhu SAFF Championship 2023: Indian men's team to lock horns with Kuwait in grand final

Bengaluru: The Indian men's team will lock horns with Kuwait in the grand final of the Bangabandhu SAFF Championship 2023 at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bangalore tomorrow at 7:30 PM IST. Sunil Cheetri-led Blue Tigers made it to the finals after beating Lebanon in a hard-fought semi-final game in semi-finals yesterday. The two nations will clash for the second time in this year's tournament.

The last match between Kuwait and India in this tournament ended in



a 1-1 stalemate. In that match, Sunil Chhetri scored the only goal for India and later India conceded an own goal to level scores 1-1 in the scoresheet. 

While India defeated Lebanon 4-2 in a penalty shootout after regulation time and extra time ended in a stalemate in the semifinal to reach the summit clash, in other semifinal match Kuwait beat Bangladesh 1-0 in extra time to book their final berth.
