The senior selection committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will be meeting today for picking up squad for India-England ODI and T20 series at the Board headquarters in Mumbai.
The selection panel headed by former Indian wicketkeeper MSK Prasad will pick the Indian team for England series, comprising three ODIs and as many T20 Internationals, starting 15th of this month. With, MS Dhoni leaving
captaincy two day ahead of the selections, formal announcement of a new captain for limited overs is also likely to happen today.
The selectors will also pick the India A squad for two warm-up matches against England. However, it remains unclear whether the team will be chosen by the five-member panel, which was the case earlier, or a three-member committee as suggested by the Supreme Court appointed Lodha panel.
