Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty achieved a career-high world number three after winning their first Super 1000 men's doubles title, according to the latest BWF ranking released on Tuesday.

The Commonwealth Games gold medalists defeated reigning world champions Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik of Malaysia in straight games to win the Indonesia Open on Sunday, becoming the country's first pair to win a Super 1000 event. The Indian duo is in the midst of a dream 2023 season, having already won two World Tour titles in addition to the Swiss Open, as well as a gold medal at the Badminton Asia Championship.

With Rajawat, four Indians are ranked among the top 30 in men's singles. PV Sindhu, a double Olympic medalist, stopped her slide and rose two places to world number 12 in women's singles, while veteran Saina Nehwal rose one place to world number 31.

Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand finished 16th in the women's doubles. Ashwini Bhat and Shikha Gautam were the next Indians in the BWF rankings, coming in at 41st and 42nd, respectively. Rohan Kapoor and Sikki Reddy, an Indian mixed pair, advanced two places to world number 33. Tanisha Crasto and Ishan Bhatnagar were the next Indians on the list, dropping one spot to number 38 in the world.
