India's Kidambi Srikanth and P V Sindhu yesterday bowed out of the singles event of China Open badminton tournament at the quarter-final stage. 

In the men's singles of the competition which is being held at Changzhou, seventh-seeded Srikanth lost



to reigning world champion Kento  Morimoto of Japan in straight games 9-21, 11-21. 

In the women's singles, third seed Sindhu went down against China's Chen Yufei in three games, 11-21, 21-11, 15-21.
