Legendary Indian athlete Milkha Singh was admitted to the hospital in Mohali on Monday after a drop in his oxygen level due to the coronavirus, his son Jeev Milkha Singh confirmed while also stating that his father's condition is currently stable.
91-year-old Milkha Singh had tested positive for Covid-19 on the evening of May 20 and was taken to the Fortis Hospital on Monday as a precautionary measure.
Milkha Singh's wife
Nirmal Kaur and son Jeev both revealed that he was not feeling well and that his oxygen level dropped. Milkha Singh is also suffering from dehydration possibly due to diarrhoea and vomiting.
"He has been hospitalised. He was weak and not eating since yesterday, so we had to hospitalise him. Though his parameters seemed alright, we thought it is safer to have him admitted where he would be under supervision of senior doctors," Jeev Milkha Singh told PTI.
