Mohammad Nabi will continue to lead Afghanistan in the upcoming T20 World Cup, beginning October 16 in Australia.
Nabi recently captained the side at the Asia Cup, where Afghanistan's campaign ended in the Super Four stage. The likes of Samiullah Shinwari, Hashmatullah Shahidi, Afsar Zazai, Karim Janat and Noor Ahmad, who were all part of the squad for the continental tournament, have been dropped.

Qais Ahmad will make a comeback to the squad, having last played a T20I in March 2022, while Salim Safi has received a maiden international call-up.
