The Indian cricketers from the men's and women's teams began their eight-day hard quarantine in Mumbai ahead of the upcoming England tour. The likes of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Ravi Shastri, Mithali Raj and Ravindra Jadeja had started their hotel quarantine on Monday.
The cricketers have gathered in the city from where they will leave for the United Kingdom next month. The entire contingent has been divided into two groups where the players from Mumbai who entered the bio-bubble on May
24 won't be allowed to mix with those who entered it on May 19.
The Indian men's cricket team will play the ICC World Test Championship final against New Zealand from June 18 before facing England in a five-Test series from August 4. The women's team will play a one-off Test, 3 ODIs and 3 T20 internationals from June 16.
All the players, support staff and board officials travelling to England will have to pass three RT-PCR tests before they can be allowed to depart.
