Alex Hales replaces injured Bairstow in England squad for T20 World Cup 2022

Alex Hales has replaced Jonny Bairstow in England’s squad for the T20 World Cup 2022 to be played later this year in Australia.

Hales made his comeback for England after around three and a half years following the drug scandal he got himself tangled in back in 2019.

then, Hales also missed the bus for the 2019 World Cup that England won by beating New Zealand in the final at the Lord’s Cricket Ground.

Back in April 2019, Hales was tested positive for recreational drug use, after which his name was removed from England’s preliminary squad for the mega event at home.
