Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Mohsin Naqvi jumped to the defense of Hars Rauf after the fast bowler was seen engaging in an altercation with a fan in the USA. Naqvi, in a strongly-worded social media statement, said he condemned the incident and hit out against the fan, who has been accused of verbally abusing Haris Rauf.
The PCB chief urged the fan in question to apologise to Haris Rauf and threatened legal action if he failed to do so. The video of Haris Rauf losing his cool and nearly coming to blows with the fan has gone viral on social media, prompting mixed reactions from the Pakistan cricket
fraternity.
"Strongly condemn the appalling incident involving Haris Rauf. Such actions against our players are completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated. Those who are involved must immediately apologise to Haris Rauf, failing which we will pursue legal action against the individual responsible." Mohsin Naqvi said in a statement.
Haris Rauf was seen walking along with his wife on a sidewalk when a fan interrupts him and seemingly asks for a photograph. Moments later, Haris Rauf can be seen jumping on to the other side of the sidewalk and arguing with the fan. A furious Rauf and the fan nearly came to blows before the two were separated by bystanders.
