Top knocks from Kusal Mendis and Charith Asalanka guided Sri Lanka to a thrilling two-wicket win over Pakistan in the Asia Cup Super 4 match on Thursday in Colombo. Due to rain, the match got reduced to 42 overs per-side. Chasing a revised target of 252, Sri Lanka started off on a terrific note but lost some wickets.
However, Kusal Mendis
smashed 91 and Sadeera Samarawickrama scored 48. Later, Charith Asalanka scored an unbeaten 49 and took Sri Lanka home on the last ball of the match.
For Pakistan, Iftikhar Ahmed took three wickets while Shaheen Afridi took two wickets and Shadab Khan took one.
Sri Lanka will now face India in the final match on Sunday.
