Asian Cricket Council (ACC) president Jay Shah has announced the schedule for the Asia Cup 2023. The tournament will kick off on 30th of August. Mr. Shah, who is also a secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has made this announcement on Twitter.
Six teams have been divided into two groups of three each, with the event to be held across four venues in Pakistan and Sri Lanka. While
co-hosts Pakistan, India and Nepal have been placed in Group A, Group B consists of Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Bangladesh. In the opening match of the tournament, Pakistan will take on Nepal on 30th August in Multan, Pakistan.
India will start their campaign against Pakistan on 2nd September, in Kandy. The final will be played on 17th September in Colombo.
