Axar Patel likely to miss first two ODIs against Australia, says Rohit Sharma

India captain Rohit Sharma has issued an injury update on Axar Patel and Shreyas Iyer ahead of the ODI series against Australia.

Axar suffered a significant injury during the Asia Cup 2023. The incident occurred during India's final Super Fours match against Bangladesh, where Patel showcased his



exceptional batting skills. Despite his commendable effort, Patel fell short of leading India to victory and sustained a strain in his left quadriceps during the game.

The injury was severe enough to rule Axar out of the Asia Cup final against Sri Lanka, which took place at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
