New Zealand and Bangladesh will lock horns in Rawalpindi on Monday with the fate of Group A, especially Pakistan’s future in the tournament, hanging in the balance. If New Zealand defeat Bangladesh in this match, the group is done and dusted with India and Black Caps qualifying to the next round which will eliminate hosts Pakistan as well as Bangladesh.
If Bangladesh can pull of an upset, Pakistan who has lost both to New Zealand and India, will have a slim chance of qualifying to the next round if the can beat Bangladesh convincingly in the last match of the Group. Even then, the Men in Green have to pray that archrivals India can defeat New Zealand in the
other match in the group so that Pakistan have a chance of going through if they have a greater run rate than both NZ and BAN.
