The All-India Senior Selection Committee, on Wednesday, August 24, named a strong India A squad for the upcoming three four-day matches against New Zealand A. Priyank Panchal has been appointed as the skipper for the red-ball series.

Panchal was earlier called up to the Indian team on the tour of South Africa, but he didn’t take part in any of the three Test matches.

Umran Malik made his debut in Ireland, after which he played in England, but was thereafter left out. He isn’t a part of the Asia Cup squad either. However, he has a chance of staking his claim back onto the national side after being picked for India A.
