BCCI confirms 2021 T20 World Cup switch to UAE

The BCCI has communicated to its member associations that this year’s T20 World Cup will be held in the UAE.

However, BCCI retains the hosting rights of the 16-team event that is scheduled to begin on October 17.

In an email to the

members, BCCI president Sourav Ganguly stated that the decision had been taken “after several rounds of discussions internally”.

The ICC is expected to make an official announcement in due course.
