England Test captain Ben Stokes missed the training session on Tuesday due to illness ahead of the 3rd and final Test of the 3-match series against New Zealand. Stokes traveled to Leeds from his home while the rest of the England squad trained at Headingley which will host the final Test from June 23.
However, Ben Stokes has returned negative in a Covid-19 test,
according to BBC. The all-rounder is expected to train with the rest of the team on Wednesday.
Ben Stokes had picked up a niggle during England's stunning chase of 296. Stokes hit an unbeaten 75 off just 70 balls after a stunning hundred from Jonny Bairstow on the final day as England sealed an unbeaten 2-0 lead in the series against the reigning world Test champions.
