England skipper Jos Buttler won the toss and opted to bat first against Aiden Markram’s South Africa in the 11th Champions Trophy 2025 match on Saturday at the National Stadium in Karachi
South Africa have a huge run rate advantage and even a defeat by small margin to England will not dent their semifinal chances. However, they will look to avoid any hiccups before the semis so expect the Proteas to come out all guns blazing so that they can finish as the top team of the group.
England, meanwhile, have just pride to play for with their dismal performance in the Champions Trophy coupled with 3 straight ODI loss to India before the
tournament began, forcing captain Jos Buttler to step down. It will take a miracle for England to topple the Proteas in this kind of form after having lost to Australia as well as Afghanistan.
