Delhi Daredevils beat KKR by 55 runs

Delhi Daredevils defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 55 runs at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in Delhi last night. Put into bat, Delhi Daredevils posted a massive 219 for 4 in stipulated 20 overs courtesy Skipper Shreyas Iyer's unbeaten 93 off 40 balls and Prithvi Shaw's valuable 62. 

In reply, Kolkata were restricted to 164 for 9 despite 44 by Andre Russell and Shubman Gill's 37, after effective bowling by the hosts team. Iyer was adjudged as the man of the match for his power-packed



innings that included 10 sixes and three fours.

After this win, Delhi has climbed to the seventh spot in the 8-team points table while Kolkata remained static at fourth position. Chennai is leading the table followed by Hyderabad at second and Punjab at third.

Defending Champions Mumbai are at the bottom now.Today, Chennai Super Kings will clash with Mumbai Indians at Pune at 8 in the evening.
