In a one-sided affair at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Central Delhi Kings secured a commanding 109-run win over Purani Dilli 6 in the ongoing Adani Delhi Premier League T20 on Friday. Chasing a daunting target of 218, Purani Dilli 6 faltered right from the start. Arpit Rana, opening the innings, was dismissed for a duck by a fiery Money Grewal, setting the tone for a relentless Central Delhi Kings' bowling performance. Despite a valiant effort, the Purani Dilli 6 batting lineup crumbled under pressure.

Shivam Sharma emerged as the top scorer for Purani Dilli 6, contributing 36 runs with five boundaries and a six. Sanat added a quick 33 runs off 18 balls, but their efforts were not enough to steer the team towards the massive target. Central Delhi Kings’ bowlers were in top form, with Sumit Kumar leading the charge by taking 4 wickets for 22 runs. He was well-supported by Money Grewal, who picked up 3 wickets for 28 runs, and Jonty Sidhu, who claimed 3 wickets for just 8 runs. Purani Dilli 6 were bowled out for 108 in just 12.1 overs.

Earlier in the day, after winning the toss and opting to bowl first, Purani Dilli 6 found themselves on the back foot as Central Delhi Kings’ openers Yash Dhull and Dhruv Kaushik put up an aggressive display. Although Yash Dhull was dismissed early by

Manjeet, Dhruv Kaushik continued his onslaught, smashing 38 runs off 19 balls, including two boundaries and three sixes, to help Central Delhi Kings reach 67/2 at the end of the powerplay. However, Dhruv's innings was cut short by Aayush Singh Thakur shortly after.

The middle order of Central Delhi Kings built on the strong start, with Hiten Dalal forming a crucial 29-run partnership with Captain Jonty Sidhu. Hiten was eventually caught by Shivam Sharma off Manjeet’s bowling, but Jonty and Aryan Rana ensured their team stayed on track for a big total. Jonty played a brilliant knock, reaching his half-century in just 21 balls, laced with three boundaries and four sixes. He was ably supported by Aryan Rana, who later reached his half-century in 27 balls, featuring five boundaries and three sixes.

Despite losing wickets towards the end of their innings, Aryan Rana remained unbeaten on 75 off 38 balls, guiding Central Delhi Kings to an imposing total of 217/7 in their 20 overs.

For Purani Dilli 6, Prince Yadav was the standout bowler, taking 3 wickets for 47 runs, while Manjeet contributed with 2 wickets for 35 runs. Laxman and Aayush Singh Thakur chipped in with a wicket each, but their efforts were in vain as Central Delhi Kings proved too strong on the day.
