Jasprit Bumrah's masterclass of seam bowling and captain Rohit Sharma's attacking fifty helped a dominant India bulldoze a sub-par England by 10 wickets in the first game of the three-match one-day international series at the Oval on Tuesday and take a 1-0 series lead.

Rohit Sharma's men outclassed England in all departments as they first bowled out the hosts for 110 in 25.3 overs, their lowest total against India, with Jasprit Bumrah grabbing 6 for 19 and then romping home in 18.4 overs. Captain Rohit Sharma (76 not out) and opener Shikhar Dhawan (31 not out) flayed the English bowling attack to guide India home.

Rohit, who scored his 44th ODI fifty, now holds the record for most 50-plus scores by any visiting player (14) in men's ODIs in England. Rohit went past Rahul Dravid, Virat Kohli and Kane Williamson (13 each) to take the top spot.

The entire middle-order - Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, and Hardik Pandya- did not get a chance to bat thanks

to the impressive effort by the bowlers led by Bumrah.

Bumrah registered his career-best figures of six for 19 and Mohammed Shami added another three to bundle out England for 110. England got off to a horror start after being put in to bat when Bumrah removed Jason Roy after the right-hander dragged the ball onto his own stumps and then deceived Joe Root two balls later with a delivery that nipped away. Both players failed to get off the mark.

Ben Stokes also fell for a duck in the following over, edging behind off Shami (3/31), before Bumrah dismissed Jonny Bairstow (7) and Liam Livingstone (0) to leave England reeling at 26/5 in overcast conditions.

Captain Jos Buttler (30) and Moeen Ali (14) led a brief recovery but both fell in quick succession before a 35-run ninth-wicket stand between David Willey (21) and Brydon Carse (15) helped England avoid their lowest ODI total (84) and go past 100. The Jos Buttler-led side were eventually bowled out for 110 in 25.2 overs.
