Jos Buttler has admitted that he is unsure about his future as the captain of England after their latest loss in the World Cup 2023 to Sri Lanka on October 26.

England suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of Sri Lanka in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023. The match took place at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, where England, after winning the toss, chose to bat first. However, their decision did not yield the desired results as they were unable to put up a formidable total on the board.

England's innings was marked by frequent

loss of wickets and self-destructive antics from the batters. Despite Ben Stokes' best efforts to take England to a respectable total, he could only manage 43 before being caught at deep mid-wicket in the 31st over. England's innings ended with a disappointing total of 156.

In response, Sri Lanka initially stumbled, but Pathum Nissanka and Sadeera Samarawickrama steadied the ship, ensuring that Sri Lanka sailed through without any more hiccups. Nissanka finished the game off with a six towards long on off Rashid, securing an eight-wicket victory for Sri Lanka.
