Fan arrested for breaching security to interact with Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma at MCA Stadium

Police arrested a cricket fan at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium on Friday after he breached security and ran onto the field to interact with Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma during Mumbai Indians' defeat to Royal Challengers Bangalore in Pune in IPL 2022.

A cricket fan jumped the railing at the MCA Stadium and ran onto the field before he was chased away by security. The said fan even argued with the police officials at the venue.

There was a scuffle, due to which now a case has been registered against this cricket fan lover in Talegaon police station.

According to the information received, the name of the 26-year-old young cricket



lover caught in this incident is Dashrath Rajendra Jadhav, who is a resident of Kesurdi taluka Khandala district, Satara.

Despite the tight security during the IPL match, Dasarath managed to overcome the security arrangements and run into the field in a bid to meet the two superstar cricketers. An investigation is on as to how the fan was able to breach the tight security arrangements. He was taken into custody and is at the Talegon police station.

The match was interrupted for a few minutes as the security officials chased away the fan before it restrarted. RCB hammered MI by 7 wickets to make sure the 5-time champions remained winless after 4 matches in IPL 2022.
