His unbeaten 39 in the second match anchored India’s innings during a tricky phase, although India lost the match as South Africa pulled off the chase. Meanwhile his economical spell of 1/8 in three overs in the decisive fourth game ensured a series triumph for India. This stellar performance helped Pandya reclaim the No. 1 spot in the ICC Men’s T20I all-rounder rankings. It’s the second time the Indian star has topped the charts, having first reached the summit after the ICC Men's T20 World Cup earlier this year.
