The Mohalla Cricket League which was commenced on April 10 concluded last week and now the five zonal teams – East, West, North, South and Central will play in the Hyderabad Police League starting from May 26.
The Mohalla Cricket matches were played earlier with teams from 60 police stations, among them 17 divisional level teams and finally five zonal teams emerged victorious to participate in the first edition of the HPL.

inaugurated the curtain raiser event at LB Nagar indoor stadium along with Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar and Telugu actor Venkatesh Daggubati.
The function saw the launch of event logo, t-shirts of teams, match fixtures and the trophy (Kotwal Cup). The teams paraded with their new jerseys on.The opening match will be played between East and West Zones at Osmania Cricket grounds, OU campus on Saturday morning.
