BCCI President and former India captain Sourav Ganguly heaped praise on star batter Virat Kohli and said that the 33-year-old is more skillful than him as a player.
Kohli batted himself into form during the Asia Cup and even broke his century duck during India's final match of the tournament against Afghanistan. The Indian star scored a magnificent 122 runs off 61 balls as India registered a 101-run win in their final Super Fours game on Thursday. This was Kohli's first international century since 2019.
On the YouTube channel TRS Clips, as quoted by News 18, BCCI president Ganguly heaped
praise on Kohli and said that he is a more skillful player than him.
The former India captain also went on to say that Kohli will continue to play and will have more appearances in India's jersey than him at the end of the day.
“The comparison should be in terms of skill as a player. I think he is more skilful than I’m. We played in different generations, and we played a lot of cricket. I played in my generation, and he will continue playing, probably playing more games than I did. Currently, I have played more than what he has but he’ll get past that. He is tremendous,” said Ganguly.
