Meanwhile, England, captained by Jos Buttler, will be looking to capitalize on their recent white-ball successes and spring a surprise on their more fancied opponents. With a dynamic lineup featuring the likes of Phil Salt,

Ben Duckett, and Jofra Archer, England is well-equipped to give Australia a run for their money.

Yesterday, South Africa began their campaign with a commanding 107 run win over Afghanistan at the National Stadium in Karachi. Ryan Rickelton’s maiden ODI century and late fireworks from Aiden Markram and David Miller powered the Proteas to 315 runs on 6 wickets.

Afghanistan struggled in the chase, with Kagiso Rabada 36 runs and 3 wickets and Marco Jansen dismantling their top order. Despite Rahmat Shah’s fighting 90 runs, Afghanistan were bowled out for 208 in 43.3 overs. Rickelton was named Player of the Match as South Africa ended their ODI losing streak.
