England had defeated South Africa by 104 runs at the Oval in London on Thursday while West Indies had defeated Pakistan by 7 wickets at Nottingham next day in their opening game.
India will begin their campaign on Wednesday against South Africa while Bangladesh will now compete with New Zealand on the same day.
Africa's
fast bowler Lungi Ngidi was ruled out of the game against India. Ngidi had suffered a left hamstring injury during team's defeat against Bangladesh yesterday and hobbled out of the field bowling only four overs.
There was however some positive news for the Proteas as senior batsman Hashim Amla seems to have recovered from the concussions suffered after being hit in the helmet by Jofra Archer during the tournament opener against England.
