In the ICC Cricket World Cup, defending champions Australia are scheduled to play Pakistan at Taunton this afternoon. The match is slated to begin at 3 PM (Indian Standard Time).
Heavy rain has forced three no-results in the tournament, so far, including yesterday's game between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Rain could play spoilsport today as well, as the weather in the Taunton area is cloudy and there is a forecast of rain.
New Zealand are currently leading the 10-team points table, with hosts
England second and India third. Australia are fourth, Sri Lanka fifth, West Indies sixth, Bangladesh seventh and Pakistan eighth. South Africa and Afghanistan are the bottom two sides. Top four teams will make it to the semi-finals.
India has won both of their first two games against South Africa and Australia. They are scheduled to play New Zealand at Nottingham tomorrow. The semi-finals are slated for the 9th and 11th of next month. The Final will be played on the 14th.
