Former India captain Mohammed Azharuddin feels that if Rohit Sharma can continue his good form, then India will win the Champions Trophy. Rohit roared back to form during the 2nd ODI against England in Cuttack as he scored his 32nd hundred. The Indian captain was struggling for form in all formats in the last 16 innings ahead of the Cuttack ODI as he scored just 166 runs.

Rohit scored his hundred in 76 balls and his innings consisted of 12 boundaries and 7 sixes as India won the match by 4 wickets in the end. Speaking to PTI, Azharuddin wished Rohit all success in the Champions Trophy and felt that the Indian captain's form had come back at the right time.

"I wish him all the best for Champions Trophy,

If Rohit Sharma clicks in Champions Trophy, there is no doubt about us winning it. His form has come at the right time," said Azharuddin.

Rohit went on to go past Sachin Tendulkar's record for the most runs as an opener for India in all three formats of the game. Azharuddin said that Rohit didn't give up and continued to keep going despite runs deserting him and congratulated the Indian captain on breaking Tendulkar's record.

"He is a class player, the runs were deserting him, he kept going on yesterday. I heard he played really well yesterday and records are meant to be broken. I congratulate him on breaking Sachin Tendulkar's record and I want to wish him best for the Champions Trophy," said Azharuddin.
