Shivam Dube has risen through the ranks with his performance in the T20I series against Afghanistan.
In the 1st T20I match, he scored 60 runs off 40 deliveries and also bowled an economical spell of 2 overs where he gave away just 9 runs and picked up a wicket.
In the 2nd T20I he
hammered 63 runs off 32 balls and yet again helped India chase down the 173-run target in the 16th over itself and in the bowling department, he may have gone a bit expensive, conceding 36 runs in 3 overs, but yet again managed to chip in with a wicket. With these performances, he is being touted as a backup option for the injured Hardik Pandya.
