Visakhapatnam: In the 3rd cricket Twenty-20 International, India beat South Africa by 48 runs at Visakhapatnam yesterday to remain alive in the five-match series. Put into bat first, the hosts made 179 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs, riding on openers Ruturaj Gaikwad's 57 off 35 and Ishan Kishan's 54 off 35. For visitors, Dwaine Pretorius picked up two wickets.
Chasing the target, the Proteas were
bundled out for 131 runs in 19.1 overs. Harshal Patel scalped four wickets and Yuzvendra Chahal, took three wickets.
Earlier South Africa won the toss and elected to bowl.
The 4th match will be played in Rajkot on the 17th and the 5th and final on the 19th of this month at Bengaluru. The visitors are leading the series 2-One.
