India beat Sri Lanka by 88 runs in the second T20 International to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series in Indore last night.
Chasing a victory target of 261 runs, Sri Lanka were all out for 172 runs in 17.2 overs. Kusal Perera made 77 runs. For India Yuzvendra Chahal took four wickets.
Earlier, put into bat, India scored 260 for 5 in the stipulated 20 overs. Skipper Rohit Sharma reached many landmarks with his contribution of 118 which is the highest individual score for India in T20.

India's innings, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul were responsible for a stand of 165 runs which is the highest for India for any wicket in T20 matches. His 35 ball hundred was joint fastest century in Twenty20, the other being of David Miller of South Africa.
Rohit Sharma also became the first Indian captain to score a century in T-20. He also became the first Indian player to hit 10 or more sixes in both ODIs and T20s. Rohit Sharma was declared Man Of the Match.The Third and Final T20 will be played tomorrow at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai at 7 pm.
