In Women’s Cricket, India has clinched the three-match ODI series with a 2-nil lead after they defeated Ireland by 116 runs in the second match played yesterday at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot, Gujarat. Batting first, India scored 370 for 5 in the stipulated 50 overs. Jemimah Rodrigues scored a ton, Harleen Deol played an innings of 89 runs in 84 balls, while skipper Smriti Mandhana contributed 73
runs.
In response to this, the visitors only managed to score 254 at the loss of 7 wickets. Coulter Reilly scored the highest 80 runs. For India, Deepti Sharma bagged 3 wickets. Jemimah Rodrigues got the Player of the Match award for her fabulous century.
Both the teams will now face each other in the last match of the series at Rajkot on Wednesday.
